36 So if the son sets you free, you will be truly free.

Live in Freedom and Love One Another

1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

The Year of Yahweh’s Favor

1 The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is upon me,

because Yahweh has anointed me,

he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,

to bind up the brokenhearted,*

to proclaim* release to the captives

and liberation to those who are bound,

Set Free from the Law of Sin and Death

1 Consequently, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

22 I have wiped your transgressions out like a cloud

and your sins like mist.

Return to me, for I have redeemed you!

21 And she will give birth to a son, and you will call his name ‘Jesus,’ because he will save his people from their sins."

14 who gave himself for us, in order that he might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good deeds.

22 But now, having been set free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to sanctification, and its end is eternal life.

Praise to God for His Deliverance

1 And he said:

"I love you, O Yahweh, my strength."

2 Yahweh is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,

my God, my rock in whom I have taken refuge,

my shield and the horn of my deliverance, my stronghold.

Yahweh Is a Fortress

1 In you, O Yahweh, I have taken refuge.

Let me not be put to shame ever.

Deliver me by your righteousness.

15 My times* are in your hand.

Deliver me from the hand of my enemies

and from those who pursue me.

17 They* cry out and Yahweh hears

and delivers them from all of their troubles.

18 Yahweh is near to those who are heartbroken

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 Many are the distresses of the righteous,

but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.

9 Help us, O God of our salvation,

for the glory of your name;

and deliver us and forgive* our sins

for the sake of your name.

23 My lips will sing for joy when I sing praises to you,

and my soul, which you have redeemed.

10 You who love Yahweh, hate evil.

He protects the lives of his faithful;

he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

2 "Deliver my life, O Yahweh, from lying lips,

from a deceitful tongue."

10 I will rejoice greatly in Yahweh;

my being shall shout in exultation in my God.

For he has clothed me with garments of salvation,

he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

as a bridegroom adorns himself with a head wrap like a priest,

and as a bride adorns herself with her jewelry.

17 Yahweh your God is in your midst;

a mighty warrior who saves.

He shall rejoice over you with joy;

he renews* you in his love;

he will exult over you with singing.
