A relação entre Jesus e Pedro é uma das mais profundas e significativas do Novo Testamento. Pedro, originalmente um pescador chamado Simão, foi escolhido por Jesus para ser um dos seus discípulos mais próximos e líder entre os apóstolos.

Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, "Do you love me? " He said, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you."

2. Fé que supera as dúvidas
Apesar de momentos de medo e dúvidas, como quando tentou andar sobre as águas, Pedro foi ensinado a confiar plenamente em Jesus (Mateus 14:28-31).
"Lord, if it’s you," Peter answered him, "command me to come to you on the water."
He said, "Come."
And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me! "
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt? "
3. Arrependimento e perdão
Quando negou Jesus três vezes, Pedro experimentou o perdão divino, aprendendo que o amor de Deus restaura e renova mesmo após falhas (Lucas 22:54-62).

They seized him, led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. Meanwhile Peter was following at a distance. They lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, and Peter sat among them. When a servant saw him sitting in the light, and looked closely at him, she said, "This man was with him too."
But he denied it: "Woman, I don’t know him."
After a little while, someone else saw him and said, "You’re one of them too."
"Man, I am not! " Peter said.
About an hour later, another kept insisting, "This man was certainly with him, since he’s also a Galilean."
But Peter said, "Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about! " Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter. So Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, "Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times."And he went outside and wept bitterly.
4. Coragem para testemunhar
Após a ressurreição, Pedro tornou-se um pregador corajoso do Evangelho, mostrando que Jesus o fortaleceu para cumprir sua missão (Atos 2).
