Peter answered him and said, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters."
He said, "Come!"
Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"(Matthew 14:28-31)
A negação no pátio e a dor do arrependimento
They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance. When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat among them. A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, "This man also was with him."
He denied Jesus, saying, "Woman, I don’t know him."
After a little while someone else saw him and said, "You also are one of them!"
But Peter answered, "Man, I am not!"
After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, "Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!"
But Peter said, "Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, "Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times." He went out, and wept bitterly.(Luke 22:54-62)
A restauração à beira do lago
So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?"
He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you."
He said to him, "Feed my lambs." He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?"
He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you."
He said to him, "Tend my sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?"
Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, "Do you have affection for me?" He said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you."
Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep. (John 21:15-17)
