Os relacionamentos são centrais na vida cristã. A Bíblia orienta sobre amizade, casamento, família e convivência, sempre tendo o amor como fundamento de toda relação.
Amor e amizade
O amigo ama em todo tempo. A Bíblia valoriza amizades verdadeiras que edificam, fortalecem e desafiam ao crescimento mútuo.
17 The friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
17 Iron is sharpened by iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and who hath not another to lift him up!
12 And if a {man} overpower the one, the two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Casamento e família
O casamento é aliança sagrada. O marido deve amar a esposa como Cristo amou a Igreja, e ambos devem cultivar respeito e submissão mútua.
25 Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,26 in order that he might sanctify it, purifying {it} by the washing of water by {the} word,
28 So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself.
33 But *ye* also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife {I speak} that she may fear the husband.
22 Wives, {submit yourselves} to your own husbands, as to the Lord,23 for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ {is} head of the assembly. *He* {is} Saviour of the body.
18 Wives, be subject to {your} husbands, as is fitting in {the} Lord.19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
18 And Jehovah Elohim said, It is not good that Man should be alone; I will make him a helpmate, his like.
2 but on account of fornications, let each have his own wife, and each {woman} have her own husband.
14 House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers; but a prudent wife is from Jehovah.
10 Who can find a woman of worth? for her price is far above rubies.
7 Thou art all fair, my love; And there is no spot in thee.
Convivência saudável
Os relacionamentos florescem quando tratamos os outros como gostaríamos de ser tratados, com amor crescente e caráter maduro.
12 Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do *ye* also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
19 Honour thy father and thy mother, and Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
12 But you, may the Lord make to exceed and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also towards you,
8 But if any one does not provide for his own, and specially for those of {his} house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than the unbeliever.
14 Be not diversely yoked with unbelievers; for what participation {is there} between righteousness and lawlessness? or what fellowship of light with darkness?
10 For do I now seek to satisfy men or God? or do I seek to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I were not Christ's bondman.
5 But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge,6 in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness,7 in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love:
1 A {good} name is rather to be chosen than great riches; loving favour rather than silver and gold.
