There remains therefore a rest {Gr. Sabbatismos} for the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy will on my holy day; and call the sabbath the delightful, holy, glorious day of the Lord; and shalt honour him by not doing thine own ways, nor seeking thine own will, nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth and cause thee to eat of the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.
Whether therefore ye eat or drink or whatever ye do, do everything for the glory of God.
Sono e paz
Ditar-se em paz e dormir tranquilamente é bênção do Senhor. Quem confia nele dorme sem medo e acorda renovado.
I will both lay me down in peace and sleep: for thou only, O Lord, dost make me to be confident.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for the Lord sustained me.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to come home late, to eat the bread of sorrows, because he shall give his beloved sleep.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day,
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
The sleep of the servant is sweet whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
Descanso e segurança
No repouso, encontramos segurança. Deus guarda os justos, e mesmo no silêncio da noite, sua paz nos protege e restaura.
And thou shalt trust because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig and sleep in safety;
thou shalt lie down, and no one shall make thee afraid; and many shall make requests unto thee.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
