Resistir
19 Lo! I empowered you to turn on serpents, and scorpions, and all the might of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Master, even the demons are subject to us, through your name.
1 Jesus, having convened the twelve, gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure diseases;
1 And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power to expel unclean spirits, and to cure diseases and maladies of every kind.
19 Moreover, I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: whatever you shall bind on the earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you shall loose on the earth, shall be loosed in heaven.
A armadura de Deus
Somos chamados a revestir a armadura completa de Deus para resistir às ciladas do diabo e permanecer firmes na batalha espiritual.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the complete armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the crafty ways of the devil.
27 neither give an opportunity to the devil.
4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but exceeding powerful for the overturning of strongholds;)5 overturning reasonings, and every high thing raised up against the knowledge of God; and leading captive every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Firmes na resistência
Resistir ao diabo é um ato de fé ativa. A Bíblia nos garante que quando resistimos, ele foge, e que maior é o que está em nós do que o que está no mundo.
8 Be sober, be vigilant: your adversary, the devil, is walking about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour:9 whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the very same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren, who are in the world.
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because he is greater, who is with you, than he who is with the world.
8 He who works sin, is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
33 But he turning, and looking on his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get you hence, adversary, for you do not relish the things of God, but the things of men.
