Resistir
19 See, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you.
17 The seventy returned with joy saying, "Master, even the demons are subject to us in your name."
1 JESUS called together the twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.
1 THEN, calling to him his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over impure spirits to cast them out, and power to cure every disease and every infirmity.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
A armadura de Deus
Somos chamados a revestir a armadura completa de Deus para resistir às ciladas do diabo e permanecer firmes na batalha espiritual.
10 To conclude: Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.11 Put on the complete armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the cunning arts of the Devil.
27 neither give place for the Devil.
4 for the weapons of our warfare are not weapons of the flesh, but powerful under God for the destruction of fortresses.5 We overthrow reasonings and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought into obedience to Christ
Firmes na resistência
Resistir ao diabo é um ato de fé ativa. A Bíblia nos garante que quando resistimos, ele foge, e que maior é o que está em nós do que o que está no mundo.
8 Be sober, watch. Your enemy the Devil, like a roaring lion, goes about seeking some one to devour.9 Resist him firm in the faith and knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being completed in your brotherhood throughout the world.
4 But you are of God, little children, and have conquered them, because he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.
8 He who is committing sin is of the Devil, for the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this the Son of God appeared \'97 to undo the works of the Devil.
33 He turned and looked at his disciples and reproved Peter with the words, "Get behind me, Satan. You are not thinking God's thoughts, but men's thoughts."
