Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.(1 Peter 5:8,9)

But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men."(Mark 8:33)

Resistir, nesse sentido, é viver alinhado à verdade, à justiça e à fé, derrubando ideias que tentam sufocar a obediência a Cristo.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.(Ephesians 6:10,11)

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,(2 Corinthians 10:4,5)

Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"(Luke 10:17)

He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.(Luke 9:1)

He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.(Matthew 10:1)

I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven."(Matthew 16:19)

A certeza do desfecho final

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.(1 John 4:4)

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.(1 John 3:8)

So they will fear Yahweh’s name from the west,

and his glory from the rising of the sun;

for he will come as a rushing stream,

which Yahweh’s breath drives.(Isaiah 59:19)
