18 "See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death.*19 They will hand him over to the Gentiles*to be mocked, flogged,*and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised."*

28 They stripped him and dressed him in a scarlet robe.  *29 They twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on his head, and placed a staff in his right hand. And they knelt down before him and mocked him: "Hail, king of the Jews! "

46 And Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit."*,* Saying this, he breathed his last.

13 No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life*for his friends.

6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time,  * Christ died for the ungodly.

28 so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many,  * will appear a second time,  * not to bear sin, but  * to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.  *

14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit  * offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our  * consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?  *

7 If we walk in the light  * as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus  * his Son cleanses us from all sin.

3 For I passed on to you  * as most important what I also received: that Christ died  * for our sins according to the Scriptures,  *4 that he was buried,  * that he was raised on the third day  * according to the Scriptures,  *

2 and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us,  * a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

14 He gave himself for us  * to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,  * eager to do good works.

13 And do not offer any parts  * of it to sin  * as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God,  * and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.

24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will save it.*

9 Honor the Lord with your possessions

and with the first produce of your entire harvest;  *

3 Doing what is righteous and just

is more acceptable to the  Lord than sacrifice.  *

13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice.*,*For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners."*

9 but as for me, I will sacrifice  * to you

with a voice of thanksgiving.  *

I will fulfill  * what I have vowed.

Salvation  * belongs to the  Lord.  *

32 He did not even spare his own Son  * but gave him up for us all.  * How will he not also with him grant us everything?

36 And he said, "Abba,*Father!*All things are possible*for you. Take this cup*away from me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will."

24 But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course  * and the ministry  * I received from the Lord Jesus,  * to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.
