O que a Bíblia ensina sobre o sacrifício
Na Bíblia, sacrifício é a entrega voluntária de algo de valor a Deus em sinal de obediência, arrependimento ou adoração — ato que chega ao seu cumprimento pleno na morte de Jesus Cristo. Com a cruz, a dívida do pecado foi paga de forma definitiva, encerrando a necessidade de qualquer outro ritual para obter a reconciliação com o Criador.
A crucificação não foi um imprevisto na história, mas uma entrega deliberada. Jesus anunciou com antecedência aos discípulos cada etapa do sofrimento que enfrentaria em Jerusalém.
"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up."(Matthew 20:18,19)
A zombaria dos soldados e a agonia física da cruz revelam o custo dessa entrega. No momento final, a morte de Cristo foi a conclusão consciente de uma missão de resgate.
And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"(Matthew 27:28,29)
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit." And having said this, He died.(Luke 23:46)
O valor desse sacrifício está na sua motivação: o Justo se colocando no lugar dos culpados, oferecendo perdão a quem não tinha condições de pagar o próprio preço diante de Deus.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."(Mark 10:45)

Por que o sacrifício de Jesus foi único e definitivo
No Antigo Testamento, a Lei de Moisés exigia sacrifícios contínuos de animais no altar. Esse sangue cobria os pecados de maneira temporária e apontava para a necessidade de purificação, mas não tinha poder para transformar o coração nem apagar a culpa para sempre.
Jesus assumiu o papel do cordeiro definitivo: sem pecado, puro e perfeito.
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.(1 Peter 1:18,19)
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?(Hebrews 9:14)
Por ser ao mesmo tempo Deus e homem perfeito, a entrega de Cristo teve eficácia eterna. Ele não precisa ser sacrificado de novo: sua morte foi realizada uma vez por todas.
so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.(Hebrews 9:28)
For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,(1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
Essa entrega única conquistou o perdão permanente para quem crê e inaugurou uma vida liberta do domínio do mal.
and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.(Ephesians 5:2)

O que significa oferecer a vida como sacrifício hoje
Se a morte de Jesus encerrou os rituais sangrentos no templo, o que Deus espera do cristão hoje? As Escrituras mostram que Deus nunca se agradou de cerimônias exteriores vazias quando o coração estava longe dele; a prática da justiça e da misericórdia sempre foi a prioridade.
To do righteousness and justice
Is preferred by the Lord more than sacrifice.(Proverbs 21:3)
Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desirecompassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."(Matthew 9:13)
Ao compreender que o próprio Deus não poupou seu Filho amado, a resposta humana deixa de ser o medo e passa a ser a consagração voluntária.
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?(Romans 8:32)
Seguir a Cristo envolve um sacrifício diário: abrir mão da soberba e submeter a própria vontade a Deus, a exemplo da oração de Jesus no Getsêmani.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.(Luke 9:24)
And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."(Mark 14:36)
Na prática, o sacrifício bíblico hoje é colocar o próprio corpo, os bens e as decisões diárias à disposição da justiça e da fidelidade ao Senhor.
and do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin asinstruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts asinstruments of righteousness for God.(Romans 6:13)
But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.(Acts 20:24)
