8 For *by grace you have been saved *through faith. And this is *not your own doing; *it is the gift of God, 9 *not a result of works, *so that no one may boast.

52 And Jesus said to him, "Go your way; *your faith has *made you well." And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

1 For God alone *my soul *waits in silence;

from him comes my salvation.

and your right hand *supported me,

and your *gentleness made me great.

and my feet did not slip.

nor fruit be on the vines,

the produce of the olive fail

and the fields yield no food,

the flock be cut off from the fold

and there be no herd in the stalls,

18 *yet I will rejoice in the Lord;

*I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

4 Because you are precious in my eyes,

and honored, and I love you,

I give men in return for you,

peoples in exchange for your life.
