Salvador
Jesus é o Salvador do mundo. Desde a manjedoura até a cruz e a ressurreição, toda a Escritura aponta para Aquele que veio buscar e salvar o que se havia perdido.
O Salvador nasceu
Na plenitude dos tempos, Deus enviou seu Filho ao mundo. O anjo declarou: 'Hoje vos nasceu um Salvador, que é Cristo, o Senhor.'
This very day in King David’s hometown a Savior was born for you. He is Christ the Lord.
Christ was truly God.
But he did not try to remain
equal with God.
Instead he gave up everything
and became a slave,
when he became
like one of us.
Christ was humble.
He obeyed God and even died
on a cross.
I, the Lord, have been your God
since the time
you were in Egypt.
I am the only God you know,
the only one who can save.
O sacrifício redentor
Jesus deu a própria vida por nós. Ele é a propiciação pelos nossos pecados e o autor da salvação eterna para todos os que lhe obedecem.
Christ is the sacrifice that takes away our sins and the sins of all the world’s people.
Real love isn’t our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven.
Even when we were God’s enemies, he made peace with us, because his Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, we will be saved by the life of his Son.
You were rescued from the useless way of life you learned from your ancestors. But you know you were not rescued by such things as silver or gold that don’t last forever. You were rescued by the precious blood of Christ, that spotless and innocent lamb.
Christ sacrificed his life’s blood to set us free, which means our sins are now forgiven. Christ did this because of God’s gift of undeserved grace to us. God has great wisdom and understanding,
I have died, but Christ lives in me. And I now live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.
O caminho da salvação
Jesus é o mediador da nova aliança. Ele vive para interceder por nós e pode salvar perfeitamente todos os que se achegam a Deus por meio dele.
Suffering made Jesus perfect, and now he can save forever all who obey him.
He is forever able to save the people he leads to God, because he always lives to speak to God for them.
Christ died to rescue those who had sinned and broken the old agreement. Now he brings his chosen ones a new agreement with its guarantee of God’s eternal blessings!
We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side of God’s throne!
All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins.
But all this time God has helped me, and I have preached both to the rich and to the poor. I have told them only what the prophets and Moses said would happen. I told them how the Messiah would suffer and be the first to be raised from death, so he could bring light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
The angel said to the women, "Don’t be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was nailed to a cross. He isn’t here! God has raised him to life, just as Jesus said he would. Come, see the place where his body was lying.
I know that my Protector lives,
and at the end
he will stand on this earth.
