Saúde
A saúde é uma bênção de Deus. A Bíblia ensina que Deus é nosso curador, que devemos cuidar do corpo como templo do Espírito e que a alegria do Senhor renova nossas forças.
Deus, o nosso curador
O Senhor é quem sara todas as nossas doenças. Ele prometeu abençoar o pão e a água e tirar as enfermidades do meio do seu povo.
25 And you shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
3 He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. You have received freely, freely give.
12 But when Jesus heard, He said to them, The ones who are whole do not need a physician, but the ones who are sick.
O corpo como templo
Nosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo. A Bíblia nos encoraja a cuidar da saúde física com disciplina e reverência a Deus.
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own,20 for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the present life, and of that which is to come.
2 Beloved, in regard to all things I pray [that] you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.8 Healing shall be to your navel and marrow to your bones.
A alegria que cura
O coração alegre é bom remédio. A esperança do coração traz alegria, e as palavras agradáveis são como favo de mel — doçura para a alma e saúde para o corpo.
22 A merry heart does good [like] a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
24 Pleasant words [are like] a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
12 Hope put off makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled [is] a tree of life.
10 Therefore remove vexation from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh; for childhood and prime of life [are] vanity.
