Seguir a Jesus é o convite mais transformador da Bíblia. Jesus chamou pescadores, cobradores de impostos e pessoas comuns para deixar tudo e segui-lo. Esse chamado continua vivo hoje.
O chamado de Jesus
Jesus disse: 'Segue-me'. Esse convite simples e poderoso mudou a vida de pescadores, publicanos e pessoas comuns ao longo da história.
He said to them: "Come, follow me and I will make you fish for men".
So they left their nets in that hour and followed him.
It came to pass when Yeshua [God is Salvation] passed on from there, he saw a man sitting at the table of exchange: Mattityahu [gift of Yah] was his name and he said to him: "Follow me". So he arose and followed him.
The day following Yeshua [God is Salvation] would go forth into Galil [circuit, district], and finds Philip [friend of horses], and says unto him, Follow me.
And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain [man] said unto him, Lord - Kurios, I will follow youi to wherever youi go.
And Yeshua [God is Salvation] said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of Man has not where to lay [his] head.
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord - Kurios, suffer (allow, to let, permit) me first to go and bury my father.
Yeshua [God is Salvation] said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go youi and preach the kingdom of God-Theos.
And another also said, Lord - Kurios, I will follow youi; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
And Yeshua [God is Salvation] said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God-Theos.
O custo do discipulado
Seguir a Jesus exige renúncia. É preciso tomar a cruz diariamente, deixar tudo para trás e amar a Cristo acima de qualquer outro vínculo.
Then Yeshua [God is Salvation] said to his disciples: "Whoever wishes to come after me let him despise himself and come after me".
If any [man] come to me, and love less by comparison not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
And whosoever does not bear his stake (cross), and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Then Kefa [pebble] began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed youi.
And Yeshua [God is Salvation] answered and said, Truly I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the Gospel (joyful message)’s,
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
But many [that are] first shall be last; and the last first.
Caminhar com Cristo
Quem segue a Jesus não anda em trevas, mas tem a luz da vida. Ele nos convida a crescer nele e a servir como Ele serviu.
Then spoke Yeshua [God is Salvation] again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my slave be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.
For even hereunto were you2f called: because Moshiach [Messiah] also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you2f should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth:
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that righteously:
But speaking the tin love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Moshiach [Messiah]:
You2f shall do my judgments, and keep my ordinances, to walk in it: I [am] the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered].
