O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.
O Senhor é o meu Pastor
Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.
A PSALM OF DAVID. YHWH [is] my shepherd, I do not lack,
A PSALM OF DAVID. YHWH [is] my shepherd, I do not lack, He causes me to lie down in pastures of tender grass, || He leads me by quiet waters. He refreshes my soul, || He leads me in paths of righteousness || For His Name’s sake;
Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance, || And feed them, and carry them for all time!
O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
I AM the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays His life down for the sheep;
I AM the good shepherd, and I know My [sheep], and am known by Mine, according as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father, and My life I lay down for the sheep, and other sheep I have that are not of this fold, these also it is necessary for Me to bring, and My voice they will hear, and there will become one flock—one shepherd.
and he who is entering through the door is shepherd of the sheep; the doorkeeper opens to this one, and the sheep hear his voice, and his own sheep he calls by name, and leads them forth; and when he may put forth his own sheep, he goes on before them, and the sheep follow him, because they have known his voice;
for you were as sheep going astray, but now you turned back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
and the Chief Shepherd having appeared, you will receive the unfading garland of glory.
O cuidado pastoral de Deus
Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
Behold, Lord YHWH comes with strength, || And His arm is ruling for Him, || Behold, His hire [is] with Him, and His wage before Him. He feeds His flock as a shepherd, || He gathers lambs with His arm, || And He carries [them] in His bosom: He leads suckling ones.
