O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.
O Senhor é o meu Pastor
Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.

O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that [are] Mine, and I am known by those who are Mine.15 Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.16 And I have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.
2 But he who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls [his] own sheep by name and leads them out.4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him. For they know his voice.
25 For you were as sheep going astray, but now you are turned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
4 And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.
O cuidado pastoral de Deus
Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
10 Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come with a strong [hand], and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward [is] with Him, and His work before Him.11 He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry [them] in His bosom, [and] shall gently lead those with young.
