O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.
O Senhor é o meu Pastor
Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.

O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me;15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
10 Behold, the Lord God will come as a mighty one,and his arm will rule for him.Behold, his reward is with him,and his recompense before him.11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd.He will gather the lambs in his arm,and carry them in his bosom.He will gently lead those who have their young.
