O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.
O Senhor é o meu Pastor
Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.
1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul.
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
9 Save your people,
and bless your inheritance.
Be their shepherd also,
and bear them up forever.
O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own; 15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
25 For you were going astray like sheep; but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.
O cuidado pastoral de Deus
Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a mighty one,
and his arm will rule for him.
Behold, his reward is with him,
and his recompense before him.
11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd.
He will gather the lambs in his arm,
and carry them in his bosom.
He will gently lead those who have their young.
