I will give thanks to thee in a great church; I will praise thee in a strong people.

The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour.

Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn.

I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.

For if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again; even so them who have slept through Jesus, will God bring with him.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation; that we also may be able to comfort them who are in all distress, by the exhortation wherewith we also are exhorted by God.

For patience is necessary for you; that, doing the will of God, you may receive the promise.

That the trial of your faith (much more precious than gold which is tried by the fire) may be found unto praise and glory and honour at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Many waters cannot quench charity, neither can the floods drown it: if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, he shall despise it as nothing.

The Lord behold and judge between us when we shall be gone one from the other.

For this child did I pray, and the Lord hath granted me my petition, which I asked of him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord all the days of his life, he shall be lent to the Lord. And they adored the Lord there. And Anna prayed, and said:

But the things that were gain to me, the same I have counted loss for Christ. Furthermore I count all things to be but loss for the excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but as dung, that I may gain Christ:
