The Lord is near to those who are discouraged;
he saves those who have lost all hope.
Even if I go through the deepest darkness,
I will not be afraid, Lord,
for you are with me.
Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.
He heals the broken-hearted
and bandages their wounds.
"When I go, you will not be left all alone; I will come back to you.
My father and mother may abandon me,
but the Lord will take care of me.

Then you will receive praise and glory and honor on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Water cannot put it out;
no flood can drown it.
But if any tried to buy love with their wealth,
contempt is all they would get.
Laban also said, "May the Lord keep an eye on us while we are separated from each other." So the place was also named Mizpah.
I asked him for this child, and he gave me what I asked for. So I am dedicating him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he will belong to the Lord."
Then they worshiped the Lord there.
But all those things that I might count as profit I now reckon as loss for Christ’s sake. Not only those things; I reckon everything as complete loss for the sake of what is so much more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have thrown everything away; I consider it all as mere garbage, so that I may gain Christ
