Servir
Servir é o coração do evangelho.
For even the Son of the Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
just like the Son of the Man—He did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
but it must not be so among you. Rather, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave;
So then, if I, Lord and Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
So He sat down, called the twelve and said to them, "If anyone desires to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all."
Now you, brothers, have been called to freedom; only do not use that freedom as an opening for the flesh, but slave for one another through love.
If anyone would serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, my servant will be too. Further, if anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
"No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Fidelidade e recompensa
O servo fiel e sábio será recompensado pelo Senhor. A fidelidade no serviço honra a Deus e produz frutos eternos.
His lord said to him: ‘Super, you good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things, I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
So then, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
