Sexo
He answered them, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
A santidade na intimidade
O leito conjugal é honroso. A Bíblia celebra a alegria da intimidade dentro do casamento e orienta o casal ao amor e respeito mútuo.
Marriage must be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed must be kept pure, but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then pt ¦ make the members of Christ 𝔐pttake the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Certainly not! Do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one with her in body? For it says, "The two will become one flesh." But he who is joined to the Lord is one with him in spirit.
Pureza sexual
Deus nos chama à santificação e à fuga da imoralidade. O corpo do cristão é templo do Espírito Santo e deve ser tratado com honra.
Flee fornication. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but he who commits fornication sins against his own body. Do you not know that pt ¦ your bodies are 𝔐ptyour body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God with your body and with your spirit, which belong to God.
It is God’s will that you be sanctified, that you abstain from fornication, and that each of you know how to control your own body in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God.
But fornication, impurity of any kind, and covetousness must not even be mentioned among you, because such things are improper for saints.
But I say to you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in illicit affairs and sensual indulgences, not in strife and jealousy.
Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is contrary to nature. In the same way the men also, having abandoned the natural function of the female, were inflamed in their lust for one another, men committing shameful acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
