Sonhos aparecem em toda a Bíblia como meio de revelação divina. Deus falou através de sonhos a patriarcas, profetas e servos, mas também alertou contra falsos sonhadores.
Sonhos como revelação divina
Deus usou sonhos para comunicar sua vontade a homens e mulheres ao longo da história bíblica, revelando caminhos e mistérios.
And he said to them, Hear my words: If there should be of you a prophet to the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.
Sonhos na história da Bíblia
De José no Egito a José pai de Jesus, Deus guiou a história da salvação através de sonhos, protegendo e dirigindo seu povo.
And they said to him, We have seen a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, Is not the interpretation of them through God? tell them then to me.

Sabedoria sobre sonhos
A Bíblia ensina discernimento: nem todo sonho vem de Deus. Devemos entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e confiar na direção dele.
There are many thoughts in a man’s heart; but the counsel of the Lord abides for ever.
Every word that I command you this day, it shalt thou observe to do: thou shalt not add to it, nor diminish from it.
And if there arise within thee a prophet, or one who dreams a dream, and he gives thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass which he spoke to thee, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye know not; ye shall not hearken to the words of that prophet, or the dreamer of that dream, because the Lord thy God tries you, to know whether ye love your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
I have heard what the prophets say, what they prophesy in my name, saying falsely, I have seen a night vision. How long shall these things be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, when they prophesy the purposes of their own heart?
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets that prophesy false dreams, and have not told them truly, and have caused my people to err by their lies, and by their errors; yet I sent them not, and commanded them not; therefore, they shall not profit this people at all.
Whenever thou shalt vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools: pay thou therefore whatsoever thou shalt have vowed.
If thou shouldest see the oppression of the poor, and the wresting of judgment and of justice in the land, wonder not at the matter: for there is a high one to watch over him that is high, and high ones over them.
