Sonhos aparecem em toda a Bíblia como meio de revelação divina. Deus falou através de sonhos a patriarcas, profetas e servos, mas também alertou contra falsos sonhadores.
Sonhos como revelação divina
Deus usou sonhos para comunicar sua vontade a homens e mulheres ao longo da história bíblica, revelando caminhos e mistérios.
He said,
"Now hear My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, will make Myself known to him in a vision.
I will speak with him in a dream.
"It will come about after this
That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will have dreams,
Your young men will see visions.
But Peter, taking his stand with the other eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, know this, and pay attention to my words. For these people are not drunk, as you assume, since it is only the third hour of the day; but this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel:
‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
‘That I will pour out My Spirit on allmankind;
And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
And your young men will see visions,
And your old men willhave dreams;
And as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every kind ofliterature and expertise; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.
The king said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, "Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation?" Daniel answered before the king and said, "As for the secret about which the king has inquired, neither wise men, sorcerers, soothsayer priests, nor diviners are able to declare it to the king. However, there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.

And they said to him, "We have had a dream, and there is no one to interpret it." Then Joseph said to them, "Do interpretations not belong to God? Tell it to me, please."
Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, but no one can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it." Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, "It has nothing to do with me; God will give Pharaoh an answer for his own good."
But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
And while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message, saying, "See that you have nothing to do with that righteous Man; for last night I suffered greatly in a dream because of Him."
When the Lord brought back the captives of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
Sabedoria sobre sonhos
A Bíblia ensina discernimento: nem todo sonho vem de Deus. Devemos entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e confiar na direção dele.
Commit your works to the Lord,
And your plans will be established.
Many plans are in a person’s heart,
But the advice of the Lord will stand.
"If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let’s follow other gods (whom you have not known) and let’s serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.
"I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!’ How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, these prophets of the deceitfulness of their own heart,
Behold, I am against those who have prophesied false dreams," declares the Lord, "and reported them and led My people astray by their lies and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them nor command them, nor do they provide this people the slightest benefit," declares the Lord.
For the dream comes through much effort, and the voice of a fool through many words.
For in many dreams and in many words there is futility. Rather, fear God.
