these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace, in the world you will have tribulation, but take courage—I have overcome the world."
these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace, in the world you will have tribulation, but take courage—I have overcome the world."
But in all these we more than conquer, through Him who loved us;
and to God—thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;
and to God—thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;
because everyone who is begotten of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcame the world—our faith.
for this is the love of God, that we may keep His commands, and His commands are not burdensome; because everyone who is begotten of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcame the world—our faith. Who is he who is overcoming the world, if not he who is believing that Jesus is the Son of God?
Who is he who is overcoming the world, if not he who is believing that Jesus is the Son of God?
and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life—to death;
Do not be overcome by the evil, but overcome, in the good, the evil.
Do not be overcome by the evil, but overcome, in the good, the evil.
and the light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not perceive it.
and to God [is] thanks, who at all times is leading us in triumph in the Christ, and the fragrance of His knowledge He is revealing through us in every place;
And to whom you forgive anything—I also; for I also, if I have forgiven anything, to whom I have forgiven [it], because of you—in the person of Christ—[I forgive it,] that we may not be over-reached by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
He who is overcoming—I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father in His throne.
He who is overcoming—I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father in His throne.
The [one] thus overcoming will be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Scroll of Life, and I will confess his name before My Father, and before His messengers.
BY DAVID. YHWH [is] my light and my salvation, || Whom do I fear? YHWH [is] the strength of my life, || Of whom am I afraid?
And You, O YHWH, [are] a shield for me, || My glory, and lifter up of my head.
For I do not trust in my bow, || And my sword does not save me. For You have saved us from our adversaries, || And You have put to shame those hating us. In God we have boasted all the day, || And we thank Your Name for all time. Selah.
Ah, now, O YHWH, please save, || Ah, now, O YHWH, please prosper. Blessed [is] He who is coming || In the Name of YHWH, || We blessed you from the house of YHWH,
see, your God YHWH has set the land before you; go up, possess, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you; do not fear, nor be frightened.
for your God YHWH [is] He who is going with you, to fight for you with your enemies—to save you.
You keep [him] in peace [whose] imagination [is] stayed—peace! For he is confident in You.
I have strength for all things, in Christ’s strengthening me;
You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them; because greater is He who [is] in you, than he who is in the world.
You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them; because greater is He who [is] in you, than he who is in the world.
Resistindo a tentação
As to the rest, my brothers, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of His might; put on the whole armor of God, so you are able to stand against the schemes of the Devil, because our wrestling is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual [forces] of evil in the heavenly [places]; because of this take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and having done all things—to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins girded around in truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good news of peace; in all, having taken up the shield of faith, in which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, and receive the helmet of the salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
concerning the former behavior you are to put off the old man, that is corrupt according to the desires of the deceit, and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on the new man, which, according to God, was created in righteousness and kindness of the truth.
be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the Devil;
Be subject, then, to God; stand up against the Devil, and he will flee from you; draw near to God, and He will draw near to you; cleanse hands, you sinners! And purify hearts, you split-souled!
be made low before the LORD, and He will exalt you.
Blessed [is] the man who endures temptation, because, becoming approved, he will receive the garland of life, which the LORD promised to those loving Him. Let no one who is being tempted say, "I am tempted from God," for God is not tempted by evils, and Himself tempts no one, but each one is tempted, being led away and enticed by his own desires; afterward the desire having conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin having been perfected, brings forth death.
No temptation has taken you—except that of man; and God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted above what you are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear [it].
Be striving the good strife of the faith; be laying hold on the continuous life to which you also were called, and did profess the right profession before many witnesses.
and those intending to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many desires, foolish and hurtful, that sink men into ruin and destruction,
Therefore, we also having so great a cloud of witnesses set around us, having put off every weight, and the closely besetting sin, may we run the contest that is set before us through endurance,
for again consider Him who endured such contradiction from the sinners to Himself, that you may not be wearied in your souls—being faint.
for in that He suffered, Himself being tempted, He is able to help those who are tempted.
Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the Devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may swallow up, whom you must resist, steadfast in the faith, having known the same sufferings of your brotherhood to be accomplished in the world. And the God of all grace, who called you to His perpetual glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you];
Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the Devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may swallow up,
Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
And we have known that to those loving God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;
and the LORD will free me from every evil work, and will save [me]—to His heavenly kingdom; to whom [is] the glory through the ages of the ages! Amen.
but faithful is the LORD who will establish you, and will guard [you] from the evil [one];
Come to Me, all you laboring and burdened ones, and I will give you rest;
[Be] without covetous behavior, being content with the things present, for He has said, "No, I will not leave, no, nor forsake you,"
because nothing will be impossible with God."
and He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Having risen, pray that you may not enter into temptation."
and having come to the place, He said to them, "Pray to not enter into temptation."
behold, I give to you the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means will hurt you;
Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak."
Rejoice exceedingly, O daughter of Zion, || Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem, || Behold, your King comes to you, || Righteous and having salvation, || Afflicted—and riding on a donkey, || And on a colt—a son of female donkeys.
he who is doing sin, he is of the Devil, because the Devil sins from the beginning; for this [reason] the Son of God appeared, that He may undo the works of the Devil;
I write to you, little children, because sins have been forgiven you through His Name; I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from the beginning; I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil [one]; I write to you, little youths, because you have known the Father; I wrote to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from the beginning; I wrote to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil [one]. Do not love the world, nor the things in the world; if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
Have you not known that your bodies are members of Christ? Having taken, then, the members of the Christ, will I make [them] members of a prostitute? Let it not be! Have you not known that he who is joined to the prostitute is one body? For it says, "The two will be into one flesh." And he who is joined to the LORD is one spirit; flee the whoredom; every sin—whatever a man may commit—is outside the body, and he who is committing whoredom sins against his own body. Have you not known that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God? And you are not your own, for you were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
And I say, walk in the Spirit, and you may not fulfill the desire of the flesh; for the flesh desires contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit contrary to the flesh, and these are opposed to one another, that the things that you may will—these you may not do;
