10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;  *

all who follow his instructions  * have good insight.  *

His praise endures forever.  *

10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,  *

and the knowledge of the Holy One  * is understanding.

33 The fear of the Lord is what wisdom teaches,

and humility comes before honor.  *

"The fear of the Lord — that is wisdom.

And to turn from evil is understanding."  *

9 The fear of the  Lord is pure,

enduring forever;  *

the ordinances of the  Lord are reliable

and altogether righteous.  *

and sweeter than honey

dripping from a honeycomb.  *

11 In addition, your servant is warned by them,

and in keeping them there is an abundant reward.  *

4 Humility, the fear of the  Lord,

results in wealth, honor, and life.  *

27 The fear of the  Lord prolongs life,  *,*

but the years of the wicked are cut short.  *

27 The fear of the  Lord is a fountain of life,

turning people away from the snares of death.  *

6 Iniquity is atoned for by loyalty and faithfulness,  *

and one turns from evil by the fear of the  Lord.  *

14 Happy is the one who is always reverent,  *

but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.  *

8 Taste and see that the  Lord is good.  *

How happy is the person who takes refuge in him!  *

9 You who are his holy ones, fear the  Lord,

for those who fear him lack nothing.  *

4 You must follow the Lord your God and fear him. You must keep his commands and listen to him; you must worship him and remain faithful  * to him.  *

6 So keep the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.

11 Serve the Lord with reverential awe

and rejoice with trembling.  *

11 Come, children, listen to me;

I will teach you the fear of the  Lord.  *

12 Who is someone who desires life,

loving a long life to enjoy what is good?  *

13 Keep your tongue from evil

and your lips from deceitful speech.  *

14 Turn away from evil and do what is good;  *

seek peace and pursue it.  *

7 And now, may the terror of the Lord be on you. Watch what you do, for there is no injustice or partiality or taking bribes with the Lord our God."  *

14 Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind,  * but you are to fear your God;  * I am the Lord.  *

17 You are not to cheat one another, but fear your God, for I am the Lord your God.

35 "If your brother becomes destitute and cannot sustain himself among  * you, you are to support him as an alien or temporary resident, so that he can continue to live among you. 36 Do not profit or take interest from him,  * but fear your God and let your brother live among you.

4 "I say to you, my friends,*don’t fear*those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.5 But I will show you the one to fear: Fear*him who has authority to throw people into hell*after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear!
