Temor do Senhor
O temor do Senhor é o princípio da sabedoria. Não se trata de medo, mas de reverência profunda, respeito e admiração diante da santidade e grandeza de Deus.

A Escritura afirma que temer ao Senhor é o primeiro passo para a verdadeira sabedoria. Quem teme a Deus discerne o certo e aprende a viver com prudência.

Quem teme ao Senhor encontra vida longa, provisão e proteção. O temor de Deus nos guarda do mal e nos conduz à humildade.

Vivendo no temor do Senhor
Temer ao Senhor é obedecer seus mandamentos, andar em seus caminhos e amá-lo de todo coração. Essa reverência se expressa em justiça e integridade.
4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear him, and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and cleave to him.
6 So you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, by walking in his ways and by fearing him.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, with trembling
11 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.12 Come, O sons, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the LORD.13 What man is there who desires life, and covets many days, that he may enjoy good?14 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
7 Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed what you do, for there is no perversion of justice with the LORD our God, or partiality, or taking bribes."
14 You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.
17 You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.
35 "And if your brother becomes poor, and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall maintain him; as a stranger and a sojourner he shall live with you.36 Take no interest from him or increase, but fear your God; that your brother may live beside you.
4 "I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear him!
