O temor dos homens é uma armadilha que paralisa a fé. A Bíblia nos convida a trocar o medo humano pela confiança em Deus, que é nosso refúgio e escudo.
Não temas os homens
Deus é a nossa luz e salvação — de quem teremos medo? A Escritura nos encoraja a não temer aqueles que podem destruir o corpo, mas não a alma.
The Lord is my light and my salvation —
whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life —
whom should I dread?
When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh,
my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell.
Though an army deploys against me,
my heart will not be afraid;
though a war breaks out against me,
I will still be confident.
Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul;rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
"I say to you, my friends,don’t fearthose who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.But I will show you the one to fear: Fearhim who has authority to throw people into hellafter death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear!
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
When I am afraid,
I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid.
What can a mere mortal do to me?
Therefore, we may boldly say,
The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?,
Don’t be afraid of them, for the Lord your God fights for you.
"But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and do not be afraid of their words, even though briers and thorns are beside you and you live among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or discouraged by the look on their faces, for they are a rebellious house.
