Temor dos homens
O temor dos homens é uma armadilha que paralisa a fé. A Bíblia nos convida a trocar o medo humano pela confiança em Deus, que é nosso refúgio e escudo.
Não temas os homens
Deus é a nossa luz e salvação — de quem teremos medo? A Escritura nos encoraja a não temer aqueles que podem destruir o corpo, mas não a alma.
1 [A Psalm] of David. The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, [even] my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
28 And fear not those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of those that kill the body and, after that, have no more that they can do.5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who, after being killed, has power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
3 When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
6 The LORD [is] for me; I will not fear what man can do unto me.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
22 Ye shall not fear them, for the LORD your God, he shall fight for you.
6 And thou, son of man, do not be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, for they are rebels; though thou find thyself among thorns and thy dwelling be with briers, do not be afraid of their words, nor fear before them, for they are a rebellious house.
