Temor dos homens
O temor dos homens é uma armadilha que paralisa a fé. A Bíblia nos convida a trocar o medo humano pela confiança em Deus, que é nosso refúgio e escudo.
Não temas os homens
Deus é a nossa luz e salvação — de quem teremos medo? A Escritura nos encoraja a não temer aqueles que podem destruir o corpo, mas não a alma.
BY DAVID. YHWH [is] my light and my salvation, || Whom do I fear? YHWH [is] the strength of my life, || Of whom am I afraid?
When evildoers come near to me to eat my flesh, || My adversaries and my enemies to me, || They have stumbled and fallen. Though a host encamps against me, || My heart does not fear, || Though war rises up against me, || In this I [am] confident.
And do not be afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
And I say to you, my friends, do not be afraid of those killing the body, and after these things are not having anything more to do; but I will show to you whom you may fear: fear Him who, after the killing, is having authority to cast into Gehenna; yes, I say to you, fear Him.
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
[In] the day I am afraid I am confident toward You. In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, || I do not fear what flesh does to me.
YHWH [is] for me, || I do not fear what man does to me.
so that we boldly say, "The LORD [is] to me a helper, and I will not fear what man will do to me."
do not fear them, for your God YHWH—He is fighting for you.
And you, son of man, you are not afraid of them, indeed, you are not afraid of their words, for briers and thorns are with you, and you are dwelling near scorpions, you are not afraid of their words, and you are not frightened of their faces, for they [are] a house of rebellion,
