Sobre ter filhos
Filhos são uma dádiva do Senhor, uma herança que Deus confia aos pais. A Bíblia celebra a maternidade e a paternidade como vocações sagradas e fontes de bênção.
Filhos: herança do Senhor
A Escritura declara que os filhos são bênção de Deus. Cada criança é um presente precioso confiado aos pais para ser cuidado com amor.
Behold, sons [are] an inheritance of YHWH, || The fruit of the womb [is] a reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty one, || So [are] the sons of the young men. O the blessedness of the man || Who has filled his quiver with them, || They are not ashamed, || For they speak with enemies in the gate!
Your wife [is] as a fruitful vine in the sides of your house, || Your sons as olive plants around your table.
Causing the barren one of the house to sit, || A joyful mother of sons; praise YAH!
And God blesses them, and God says to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping on the earth."
Instruir nos caminhos de Deus
A Bíblia orienta os pais a instruir seus filhos nos caminhos do Senhor desde cedo, com dedicação, disciplina e exemplo.
Give instruction to a youth about his way, || Even when he is old he does not turn from it.
And you have placed these words of mine on your heart and on your soul, and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes; and you have taught them to your sons by speaking of them in your sitting in your house, and in your going in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up,
the fathers: do not distress your children, lest they be discouraged;
Discipline your son, and he gives you comfort, || Indeed, he gives delights to your soul.
Cada vida é preciosa
Deus conhece e forma cada criança no ventre. Antes de nascer, Ele já nos separou e preparou um propósito para cada vida.
"Before I form you in the belly, I have known you; and before you come forth from the womb I have separated you; I have made you a prophet to the nations."
For You have possessed my reins, || You cover me in my mother’s belly. I confess You, because I have been fearfully distinguished. Your works [are] wonderful, || And my soul is knowing [it] well. My substance was not hid from You, || When I was made in secret, || Curiously worked in the lower part of earth.
From the mouths of infants and sucklings || You have founded strength, || Because of Your adversaries, || To still an enemy and a self-avenger.
But Jesus said, "Permit the children, and do not forbid them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens";
