Trabalhar para Deus vai além do ofício secular. É dedicar a vida inteira — palavras, ações e atitudes — ao serviço do Reino, reconhecendo que cada tarefa pode glorificar o Senhor.
Servindo ao Senhor em tudo
Quando trabalhamos como para Deus, cada ação se torna um ato de adoração. Não importa a tarefa — o que importa é o coração dedicado.
and all, whatever you may do—out of soul work—as to the LORD, and not to men, having known that you will receive the repayment of the inheritance from the LORD—for you serve the LORD Christ;
be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;
and become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves,
and to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly to those outside, and may have lack of nothing.
Chamados para as boas obras
Fomos criados em Cristo Jesus para boas obras, que Deus preparou de antemão para que andássemos nelas. Não somos salvos por obras, mas para obras.
for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus on good works, which God prepared before, that we may walk in them.
having also known that a man is not declared righteous by works of law, but through faith from Jesus Christ, we also believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be declared righteous by faith from Christ, and not by works of law, because no flesh will be declared righteous by works of law."
and God [is] able to cause all grace to abound to you, that in everything always having all sufficiency, you may abound to every good work,
So that, my beloved, as you always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and deliberations, that you may become blameless and pure children of God, unblemished in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as luminaries in the world, holding forth the word of life, for rejoicing to me in regard to [the] Day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor did I labor in vain;
A missão do cristão
O chamado a trabalhar para Deus inclui a Grande Comissão: fazer discípulos de todas as nações, cooperando com Ele na expansão do Reino.
having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
he who has believed and has been immersed will be saved; and he who has not believed will be condemned.
for we are fellow-workmen of God; you are God’s tillage, God’s building.
for it is necessary for all of us to have appeared before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;
