Trabalho

Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,

Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,  knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.

And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name  of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to people,  knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work,  because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Do everything in love.

Diligência e recompensa

A mão diligente enriquece, mas a preguiça traz pobreza. A Bíblia valoriza o esforço honesto, dedicado e perseverante em toda obra.

Idle hands make one poor,

but diligent hands bring riches.

The diligent hand will rule,

but laziness will lead to forced labor.

The diligent hand will rule,

but laziness will lead to forced labor.

There is profit in all hard work,

but endless talk  leads only to poverty.

Go to the ant,  you slacker!

Observe its ways and become wise.

Without leader, administrator, or ruler,

it prepares its provisions in summer;

it gathers its food during harvest.

How long will you stay in bed, you slacker?

When will you get up from your sleep?

A little sleep, a little slumber,

a little folding of the arms to rest,

and your poverty will come like a robber,

your need, like a bandit.

The one who is lazy in his work

is brother to a vandal.  ,

Don’t love sleep, or you will become poor;

open your eyes, and you’ll have enough to eat.

Wealth obtained by fraud will dwindle,

but whoever earns it through labor  will multiply it.

The Lord’s blessing enriches,

and he adds no painful effort to it.  ,

Planejamento e excelência

A excelência no trabalho honra a Deus. Devemos nos dedicar com competência, entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e buscar o melhor em cada tarefa.

Commit your activities to the  Lord,

and your plans will be established.

Commit your activities to the  Lord,

and your plans will be established.

Do you see a person skilled in his work?

He will stand in the presence of kings.

He will not stand in the presence of the unknown.

Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.

Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.

All Scripture is inspired by God  , and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength,  because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom  in Sheol where you are going.

Do everything without grumbling  and arguing,  so that you may be blameless  and pure,  children of God who are faultless  in a crooked  and perverted  generation,  among whom you shine like stars in the world,

O contentamento no trabalho

Deus nos dá a capacidade de desfrutar do nosso trabalho. Poder comer, beber e encontrar satisfação em nosso labor é um dom divino.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the  good life. It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts.

Here is what I have seen to be good:  It is appropriate to eat, drink, and experience good in all the labor one does under the sun during the few days of his life God has given him, because that is his reward.

Furthermore, everyone to whom God has given riches and wealth,  he has also allowed him to enjoy them, take his reward, and rejoice in his labor.  This is a gift of God,

Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts.

There is a person without a companion,  without even a son or brother, and though there is no end to all his struggles, his eyes are still not content with riches.  "Who am I struggling for," he asks, "and depriving myself of good things? " This too is futile and a miserable task.

I saw that all labor and all skillful work is due to one person’s jealousy of another.  This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.  ,

A responsabilidade cristã

O cristão deve trabalhar com suas próprias mãos, viver dignamente e ser exemplo de dedicação. Quem não trabalha, não coma.

In fact, when we were with you, this is what we commanded you: "If anyone isn’t willing to work, he should not eat."  For we hear that there are some among you who are idle. They are not busy but busybodies.  Now we command and exhort such people by the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and provide for themselves.

to seek to lead a quiet life,  to mind your own business,  and to work  with your own hands, as we commanded you, so that you may behave properly  in the presence of outsiders and not be dependent on anyone.  ,

Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share  with anyone in need.

And God is able  to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.

Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people. For the person who has entered his rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from his.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us;

establish for us the work of our hands —

establish the work of our hands!

Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?

Who then will harm you if you are devoted to what is good?

"Truly I tell you, the one who believes in mewill also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course  and the ministry  I received from the Lord Jesus,  to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

Watch yourselves so that you don’t lose what we  have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.
