Trabalho
23 And whatever you may do, work [it] from your soul, as to the Lord and not to men,
23 And whatever you may do, work [it] from your soul, as to the Lord and not to men,24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ.
17 And whatever you may do in word or deed, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
7 with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,8 knowing that whatever good thing anyone does, the same he shall receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free.
31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.
58 So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
14 Let all that you do be done in love.
Diligência e recompensa
A mão diligente enriquece, mas a preguiça traz pobreza. A Bíblia valoriza o esforço honesto, dedicado e perseverante em toda obra.
Planejamento e excelência
A excelência no trabalho honra a Deus. Devemos nos dedicar com competência, entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e buscar o melhor em cada tarefa.
15 Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
15 Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
14 Do all things without grumbling and disputing,15 in order that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as light bearers in the world,
O contentamento no trabalho
Deus nos dá a capacidade de desfrutar do nosso trabalho. Poder comer, beber e encontrar satisfação em nosso labor é um dom divino.
A responsabilidade cristã
O cristão deve trabalhar com suas próprias mãos, viver dignamente e ser exemplo de dedicação. Quem não trabalha, não coma.
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat!11 For we hear [that] some are walking among you in a disorderly way, not working at all, but being busybodies.12 And to such [people] we command and urge by our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.
11 and that you aspire to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, just as we commanded you,12 in order that you may walk decently toward those that are outside, and may have need of nothing.
28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working that which is good with his hands, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that in everything always having all sufficiency, you may abound for every good work,
9 Then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.10 For he who has entered into His rest also rested himself from his works, as God [did] from His own.
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap, nor do they gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they?
13 And who is he that shall injure you if you become imitators of that which is good?
12 "Most assuredly I say to you, he that believes in Me, the works which I do he will do also; and greater [works] than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
24 But I count myself as nothing; nor do I regard my life as valuable to myself, so that I may complete my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear solemn testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.
8 Look to yourselves, lest we should lose those things for which we worked, but that we should receive a full reward.
