Trabalho

and all, whatever you may doout of soul workas to the LORD, and not to men,

and all, whatever you may doout of soul workas to the LORD, and not to men, having known that you will receive the repayment of the inheritance from the LORDfor you serve the LORD Christ;

and all, whatever you may do in word or in work, [do] all things in the Name of the Lord Jesusgiving thanks to the God and Father, through Him.

serving with goodwill, as to the LORD, and not to men, having known that whatever good thing each one may do, this he will receive from the LORD, whether servant or freeman.

Whether, then, you eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;

so that, my beloved brothers, become steadfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the LORD at all times, knowing that your labor in the LORD is not vain.

let all your things be done in love.

Diligência e recompensa

A mão diligente enriquece, mas a preguiça traz pobreza. A Bíblia valoriza o esforço honesto, dedicado e perseverante em toda obra.

Poor [is] he who is working [with] a slothful hand, || And the hand of the diligent makes rich.

The hand of the diligent rules, || And slothfulness becomes tributary.

The hand of the diligent rules, || And slothfulness becomes tributary.

In all labor there is advantage, || And a thing of the lips [is] only to want.

Go to the ant, O slothful one, || See her ways and be wise; Which has no captain, overseer, and ruler, She prepares her bread in summer, || She has gathered her food in harvest. Until when, O slothful one, do you lie? When do you arise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, || A little clasping of the hands to rest, And your poverty has come as a traveler, || And your want as an armed man.

He also that is remiss in his work, || He [is] a brother to a destroyer.

Do not love sleep, lest you become poor, || Open your eyesbe satisfied [with] bread.

Wealth from vanity becomes little, || And whoever is gathering by the hand becomes great.

The blessing of YHWHit makes rich, || And He adds no grief with it.

Planejamento e excelência

A excelência no trabalho honra a Deus. Devemos nos dedicar com competência, entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e buscar o melhor em cada tarefa.

Roll your works to YHWH, || And your purposes are established,

Roll your works to YHWH, || And your purposes are established,

Have you seen a man speedy in his business? He stations himself before kings, || He does not station himself before obscure men!

be diligent to present yourself approved to Goda workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;

be diligent to present yourself approved to Goda workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;

Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness, that the man of God may be fittedhaving been completed for every good work.

All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going.

Do all things without murmurings and deliberations, that you may become blameless and pure children of God, unblemished in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as luminaries in the world,

O contentamento no trabalho

Deus nos dá a capacidade de desfrutar do nosso trabalho. Poder comer, beber e encontrar satisfação em nosso labor é um dom divino.

I have known that there is no good for them except to rejoice and to do good during their life, indeed, even every man who eats and has drunk and seen good by all his labor, it [is] a gift of God.

Behold, that which I have seen: [It is] good, because beautiful, to eat, and to drink, and to see good in all one’s labor that he labors at under the sun, the number of the days of his life that God has given to him, for it [is] his portion.

Every man also to whom God has given wealth and riches, and has given him power to eat of it, and to accept his portion, and to rejoice in his labor, this is a gift of God.

The two [are] better than the one, in that they have a good reward by their labor.

There is one, and there is not a second; even son or brother he has not, and there is no end to all his labor! His eye also is not satisfied with riches, and [he does not say], "For whom am I laboring and bereaving my soul of good?" This also is vanity, it is a sad travail.

And I have seen all the labor, and all the benefit of the work, because for it a man is the envy of his neighbor. Even this [is] vanity and distress of spirit.

A responsabilidade cristã

O cristão deve trabalhar com suas próprias mãos, viver dignamente e ser exemplo de dedicação. Quem não trabalha, não coma.

for even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat, for we hear of some walking disorderly among you, working nothing, but being busybodies, and such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ, that working with quietness, they may eat their own bread;

and to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly to those outside, and may have lack of nothing.

whoever is stealing let him no longer steal, but rather let him labor, working the thing that is good with the hands, that he may have to impart to him having need.

and God [is] able to cause all grace to abound to you, that in everything always having all sufficiency, you may abound to every good work,

there remains, then, a Sabbath rest to the people of God, for he who entered into His rest, he also rested from his works, as God from His own.

And let the pleasantness of our God YHWH be on us, || And establish on us the work of our hands, || Indeed, establish the work of our hands!

Look to the birds of the sky, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father nourishes them; are you not much better than they?

and who [is] he who will be doing you evil, if you may become imitators of Him who is good?

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me, the works that I dothat one will also do, and greater than these he will do, because I go on to My Father;

but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify [to] the good news of the grace of God.

See to yourselves that you may not lose the things that we worked for, but may receive a full reward;
