Trabalho
23 And whatever you do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord and not to men;
23 And whatever you do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord and not to men;24 knowing that from the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve [the] Lord Christ.
17 And everything, whatever you do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of [the] Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and [the] Father by Him.
7 with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men8 (knowing that whatever good thing he does, he shall receive the same from the Lord, whether [he is] a slave or a freeman).
31 Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
58 So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.
14 Let all your things be done in charity.
Diligência e recompensa
A mão diligente enriquece, mas a preguiça traz pobreza. A Bíblia valoriza o esforço honesto, dedicado e perseverante em toda obra.
4 He who deals [with] a lazy hand becomes poor; but the hand of the hard worker makes rich.
24 The hand of the hard worker shall bear rule, but the lazy shall be under service.
24 The hand of the hard worker shall bear rule, but the lazy shall be under service.
23 In all labor there is gain, but the talk of the lips [tends] only to poverty.
6 Go to the ant, sluggard; consider her ways and be wise;7 who, having no guide, overseer, or ruler,8 provides her food in the summer [and] gathers her food in the harvest.9 How long will you sleep, O sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down;11 so shall your poverty come as one who travels, and your need like an armed man.
9 Also he who is slack in his work is brother to a great destroyer.
13 Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes and you shall be satisfied with bread.
11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be taken away, but he who gathers by hand shall increase.
22 The blessing of the LORD itself makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
Planejamento e excelência
A excelência no trabalho honra a Deus. Devemos nos dedicar com competência, entregar nossos planos ao Senhor e buscar o melhor em cada tarefa.
3 Roll your works upon the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.
3 Roll your works upon the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.
29 Do you see a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before unknown [men].
15 [Study] earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
15 [Study] earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
16 All Scripture [is] God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do [it] with all your might; for [there is] no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave where you go.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings,15 so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world,
O contentamento no trabalho
Deus nos dá a capacidade de desfrutar do nosso trabalho. Poder comer, beber e encontrar satisfação em nosso labor é um dom divino.
12 I know that [there is] no good in them, but to rejoice and to do good in his life.13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it [is] the gift of God.
18 Behold that which I have seen. [it is] good and right for one to eat and to drink, and to see good in all his labor that he labors under the sun all the days of his life, which God gives him; for it [is] his portion.
19 Also every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor; this [is] the gift of God.
9 Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.
8 There is one [alone], and [there is] not a second; yea, he has neither son nor brother; yet there is no end to all his labor; and his eyes are not satisfied with riches; and [he says, For whom do I labor and take good from my soul? This [is] also vanity. Yes, it [is] an evil business.
4 Again, I considered all labor, and every right work, that for this a man is envied by his neighbor. This [is] also vanity and vexation of spirit.
A responsabilidade cristã
O cristão deve trabalhar com suas próprias mãos, viver dignamente e ser exemplo de dedicação. Quem não trabalha, não coma.
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this, that if anyone would not work, neither should he eat.11 For we hear that there are some who walk disorderly among you, not working at all, but being busybodies.12 Now we command and exhort those who are such, by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.
11 and that you try earnestly to be quiet and to do [your] own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,12 so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.
28 Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with [his] hands the thing which [is] good, so that he may have [something] to give to him who needs.
8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that in everything, always having all self-sufficiency, you may abound to every good work;
9 So then there remains a rest to the people of God.10 For he who has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God [did] from His.
17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be on us; and establish the work of our hands on us; yea, the work of our hands, establish it.
26 Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?
13 And who [is] the [one] who will harm you if you become imitators of the good?
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater [works] than these he shall do, because I go to My Father.
24 But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus [Christ], to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.
8 Look to yourselves, so that we may not lose those things which we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.
