Tristeza
A tristeza faz parte da experiência humana, mas a Bíblia nos assegura que Deus está perto dos que sofrem. Ele enxuga as lágrimas e transforma a dor em esperança.
Deus consola os aflitos
O Senhor está perto dos quebrantados de coração. Mesmo no vale mais escuro, sua presença é refúgio e consolo para a alma que chora.
They cried, and YHWH heard, || And delivered them from all their distresses. YHWH [is] near to the broken of heart, || And He saves the bruised of spirit.
YHWH is loosing the prisoners, || YHWH is opening (the eyes of) the blind, || YHWH is raising the bowed down, || YHWH is loving the righteous,
Lord, all my desire [is] before You, || And my sighing has not been hid from You.
Blessed the mourning—because they will be comforted.
"Return, and you have said to Hezekiah, leader of My people, Thus said YHWH, God of your father David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tear, behold, I give healing to you. On the third day you go up to the house of YHWH;
A alegria virá
A dor tem prazo de validade. A manhã de alegria sempre vem depois da noite de choro. Deus promete transformar o luto em dança.
For—a moment [is] in His anger, || Life [is] in His goodwill, || At evening remains weeping, and at morning singing.
and I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them [as] their God, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be anymore pain, because the first things passed away."
they will not hunger anymore, nor may the sun fall on them, nor any heat, because the Lamb that [is] in the midst of the throne will feed them, and will lead them to living fountains of waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
as sorrowful, and always rejoicing; as poor, and making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.
Entregando a dor a Deus

O choro e o arrependimento
Há tristezas que produzem arrependimento e conduzem à vida. O choro diante de Deus é acolhido e transformado em bênção.
"And also now," a declaration of YHWH, || "Turn back to Me with all your heart, || And with fasting, and with weeping, || And with lamentation."
The vine has been dried up, || And the fig tree languishes, || Pomegranate, also palm, and apple-tree, || All trees of the field have withered, || For joy has been dried up from the sons of men.
And Job rises, and tears his robe, and shaves his head, and falls to the earth, and pays respect, and he says, "I came forth naked from the womb of my mother, || And naked I return there. YHWH has given and YHWH has taken; Let the Name of YHWH be blessed."
Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causes a father to rejoice, || And a foolish son [is] an affliction to his mother.
for in abundance of wisdom [is] abundance of sadness, and he who adds knowledge adds pain."
And turn aside anger from your heart, || And cause evil to pass from your flesh, || For the childhood and the age [are] vanity!
and do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in which you were sealed to [the] day of redemption.
