Yahweh God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man." Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.(Genesis 2:21-24)

Yahweh God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."(Genesis 2:18)

God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.(Genesis 1:27)

He answered, "Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."(Matthew 19:4-6)

But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." (Mark 10:6-9)

Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly, because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh." This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly. Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.(Ephesians 5:28-33)

Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, "The two", he says, "will become one flesh." But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.(1 Corinthians 6:15-17)

Did he not make you one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.(Malachi 2:15)

Let your spring be blessed.

Rejoice in the wife of your youth.

A loving doe and a graceful deer—

let her breasts satisfy you at all times.

Be captivated always with her love.

For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress?

Why embrace the bosom of another?(Proverbs 5:18-20)

Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.(Colossians 3:14,15)

Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.(Ephesians 4:25)
