Quanto uma pessoa vale para Deus
Para a Bíblia, o valor de uma pessoa não depende do que ela produz, ganha ou aparenta, mas do amor do Criador que a formou. Jesus recorria a exemplos simples da rotina — aves comuns vendidas por moedas de pouco valor e flores do campo — para demonstrar que a vida humana tem um peso incomparavelmente maior diante do Pai.
"Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31)
"Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins ? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.(Luke 12:6,7)
See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?(Matthew 6:26)

Precioso e escolhido pelo Criador
Na relação com o povo de Israel, Deus descreveu os seus como um tesouro particular. O valor de alguém não nasce de merecimento próprio, mas da aliança e da honra que Deus mesmo decide conceder.
Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life.(Isaiah 43:4)
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;(Exodus 19:5)
"Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you!(Isaiah 60:1)
O que a Bíblia considera de verdadeiro valor
O mundo costuma medir o valor de algo pelo preço de mercado ou pelo status exterior. As Escrituras invertem essa lógica: o que permanece e tem valor eterno é o caráter moldado pela fidelidade, as palavras de integridade e a fé que se expressa concretamente em amor ao próximo.
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man.(Proverbs 3:3,4)
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth.(Proverbs 10:20)
Who can find a worthy woman?
For her value is far above rubies.(Proverbs 31:10)
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.(Galatians 5:6)
But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.(Acts 20:24)
