8 if we may say, "We have no sin," we lead ourselves astray, and the truth is not in us; 9 if we may confess our sins, He is steadfast and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;

8 Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the Devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may swallow up,

13 You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt may lose savor, in what will it be salted? It is good for nothing from now on, except to be cast outside, and to be trodden down by men.
