A escravidão do pecado

34 Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever practices sin is the slave of sin.

36 Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

36 Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

31 Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and do not again be held with the yoke of bondage.

16 Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves [as] slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey; whether it is of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness.

Resistência e domínio próprio

O fruto do Espírito inclui o domínio próprio.

21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

12 All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

12 All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

27 But I buffet my body, and lead [it] captive, lest proclaiming to others I myself might be rejected.

13 No temptation has taken you but [what is] common to man; but God [is] faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear [it].

13 No temptation has taken you but [what is] common to man; but God [is] faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear [it].

41 Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

7 Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

3 knowing that the trying of your faith works patience.

1 I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, [which is] your reasonable service.2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what [is] that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

11 Likewise count yourselves also to be truly dead to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.13 Do not yield your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God, as [one] alive from [the] dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God.

5 For if we have been joined together in the likeness of His death, we shall also be [in the likeness] of His resurrection;6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [Him] in order that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,12 teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,

2 in order no longer to [live] in [the] lusts of men, but in [the] will of God the remaining time in [the] flesh.3 For the time of life which is past is enough for us to have worked out the will of the nations, having gone on in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, parties, carousings, and abominable idolatries.4 In these things they are surprised, [that] you [are] not running with [them] into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.5 But they shall give account to Him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead.6 For to this [end] the gospel was preached also to [the] dead, that they might be judged according to men in [the] flesh, but live according to God in [the] Spirit.7 But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sensible to prayers.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

13 He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves [them] shall have mercy.

O corpo como templo

Nosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo.

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own,

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.11 And such were some of you. But you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit,

1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging, and whoever goes astray by it [is] not wise.

23 Drink water no longer, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake, and for your frequent infirmities.

16 because all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

8 Be sensible [and] vigilant, because your adversary [the] Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;

13 You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its savor, with what shall it be salted? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and to be trodden underfoot by men.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

11 For it is written, As] I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.12 So then each one of us will give account concerning himself to God.
