A escravidão do pecado
Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.
So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
The Truth Will Set You Free
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Follow the Spirit
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Do you not know that the one to whom you present yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of that same one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?
Resistência e domínio próprio
O fruto do Espírito inclui o domínio próprio.
envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
The Body Is the Lord’s
All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
The Body Is the Lord’s
All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
Dedicated Service
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
So you too, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore sin is not to reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin asinstruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts asinstruments of righteousness for God.
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age,
so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human lusts, but for the will of God. For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries. In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same excesses of debauchery, and they slander you;but they will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For the gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as people, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.
The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper,
But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion.
O corpo como templo
Nosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
On Life and Conduct
Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink a brawler,
And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.
Do not go on drinking only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Disciples and the World
"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’
For it is written:
"As I live, says the Lord, to Me every knee will bow,
And every tongue willgive praise to God."
So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
