Quando o hábito se torna prisão

A Bíblia não usa a palavra moderna "vício", mas trata com precisão da perda de controle: aquilo que domina uma pessoa torna-se o senhor dela. O caminho bíblico para quebrar dependências não começa no esforço solitário, mas em reconhecer a própria fraqueza e buscar a libertação que vem de Cristo.

12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.(1 Corinthians 6:12)

Devolve a lucidez quando você tenta justificar o consumo dizendo que tem tudo sob controle.

34 Yeshua [God is Salvation] answered them, Truly, truly, I say unto you, Whosoever commit sin is the slave of sin.(John 8:34)

Desfaz a ilusão de liberdade: quem não consegue dizer "não" a um impulso já perdeu o comando de si mesmo.

Mostra com realismo que ceder repetidamente a um desejo entrega a ele o governo dos seus dias.

A promessa de libertação em Cristo

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you2f shall be free indeed.(John 8:36)

Garante que nenhuma dependência física, química ou emocional é definitiva diante do poder de Jesus.

Confronta as mentiras e justificativas que alimentam o vício, abrindo espaço para uma vida sem disfarces.

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty which Moshiach [Messiah] has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.(Galatians 5:1)

Protege você contra a recaída ao lembrar o preço alto que Cristo pagou pela sua liberdade.

Força prática para resistir à tentação

13 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God-The Father [is] faithful, who will not suffer (allow, to let, permit) you to be tried or tested above that you2f are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you2f may be able to bear [it].(1 Corinthians 10:13)

Traz alívio no momento da fissura: o impulso parece invencível, mas Deus sempre providencia uma rota de escape.

41 "Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation, because truly the Spirit [Ruach] is ready to go to its creator, but the flesh is weak and sick".(Gosel 26:41)

Alerta para os dias de cansaço, estresse e solidão, quando a guarda baixa e a carne fraqueja.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God-The Father. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.(Jacob 4:7)

Dá uma ordem prática de enfrentamento: render-se a Deus em oração antes de tentar confrontar a vontade de ceder.

O corpo como templo e a busca por sobriedade

19 What? know you2f not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [Ruach HaKodesh] [which is] in you, which you2f have of God-The Father, and you2f are not your own?(1 Corinthians 6:19)

Muda a relação com o próprio corpo: você deixa de tratá-lo como depósito de excessos e passa a honrá-lo como morada do Espírito.

18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit [Ruach];(Ephesians 5:18)

Troca a busca por alívio passageiro em substâncias pela presença do Espírito, que preenche sem destruir a saúde.

1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.(Mishlei - Proverbs 20:1)

Desmascara o álcool e as substâncias antes do primeiro gole, revelando que a promessa de relaxamento costuma cobrar um preço alto.

Confissão, perdão e renovação da mente

13 He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes [them] shall have mercy.(Mishlei - Proverbs 28:13)

Quebra o ciclo da culpa e do segredo, encorajando a buscar ajuda para que a dependência perca a força no escuro.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the tis not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1 John 1:8,9)

Acolhe quem teve uma recaída e precisa de perdão imediato para se levantar sem carregar condenação.

1 I beseech (to call upon; appeal; beg) you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God-The Father, that you2f present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God-The Father, [which is] your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be you2f transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you2f may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God-The Father.(Romans 12:1,2)

Sustenta a sobriedade no longo prazo ao transformar os padrões de pensamento que antes conduziam ao vício.
