Vida eterna

Por Bíblia Online

A vida eterna é a promessa central do evangelho.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.

For sin pays its wagedeath; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.

For sin pays its wagedeath; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.

For sin pays its wagedeath; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.

And eternal life means to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

And eternal life means to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son.

And this is what Christ himself promised to give useternal life.

but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life.

"I am telling you the truth: those who hear my words and believe in him who sent me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life. I am telling you the truth: the time is comingthe time has already comewhen the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will come to life.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not have life, but will remain under God’s punishment.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not have life, but will remain under God’s punishment.

And it is the will of him who sent me that I should not lose any of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them all to life on the last day. For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day."

I am telling you the truth: he who believes has eternal life.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me. What my Father has given me is greater than everything, and no one can snatch them away from the Father’s care. The Father and I are one."

The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son. Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Eternal Life

I am writing this to you so that you may know that you have eternal lifeyou that believe in the Son of God.

but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life."

Do not work for food that spoils; instead, work for the food that lasts for eternal life. This is the food which the Son of Man will give you, because God, the Father, has put his mark of approval on him."

So they asked him, "What can we do in order to do what God wants us to do?"

Jesus answered, "What God wants you to do is to believe in the one he sent."

Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.

The Narrow Gate

"Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.

The Narrow Gate

"Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.

Those who try to gain their own life will lose it; but those who lose their life for my sake will gain it.

These, then, will be sent off to eternal punishment, but the righteous will go to eternal life."

"Yes," Jesus said to them, "and I tell you that those who leave home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and for the gospel, will receive much more in this present age. They will receive a hundred times more houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fieldsand persecutions as well; and in the age to come they will receive eternal life.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to receive eternal life?"

Jesus answered him, "What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?"

The man answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and Love your neighbor as you love yourself."

"You are right," Jesus replied; "do this and you will live."

Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witnesses.

Perseverança e glória futura

A vida eterna exige perseverança.

Some people keep on doing good, and seek glory, honor, and immortal life; to them God will give eternal life.

So then, just as sin ruled by means of death, so also God’s grace rules by means of righteousness, leading us to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Future Glory

I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble.

For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.

Do not deceive yourselves; no one makes a fool of God. You will reap exactly what you plant. If you plant in the field of your natural desires, from it you will gather the harvest of death; if you plant in the field of the Spirit, from the Spirit you will gather the harvest of eternal life.

If you plant in the field of your natural desires, from it you will gather the harvest of death; if you plant in the field of the Spirit, from the Spirit you will gather the harvest of eternal life.

And so he is able, now and always, to save those who come to God through him, because he lives forever to plead with God for them.

But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation.

But you, my friends, keep on building yourselves up on your most sacred faith. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.

I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: "Now God’s home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared."

"I am the first and the last," says the Lord God Almighty, who is, who was, and who is to come.

Many of those who have already died will live again: some will enjoy eternal life, and some will suffer eternal disgrace. The wise leaders will shine with all the brightness of the sky. And those who have taught many people to do what is right will shine like the stars forever."

for the Lord loves what is right

and does not abandon his faithful people.

He protects them forever,

but the descendants of the wicked will be driven out.

Examine me, O God, and know my mind;

test me, and discover my thoughts.

Find out if there is any evil in me

and guide me in the everlasting way.

Those who find me find life,

and the Lord will be pleased with them.

The world and everything in it that people desire is passing away; but those who do the will of God live forever.
