Vida eterna
A vida eterna é a promessa central do evangelho.
for God so loved the world that He gave the only begotten Son, that everyone who is believing in Him may not perish, but may have continuous life.

for the wages of sin [is] death, and the gift of God [is] continuous life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

for the wages of sin [is] death, and the gift of God [is] continuous life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
and this is the continuous life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Him whom You sent—Jesus Christ;
and this is the continuous life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Him whom You sent—Jesus Christ;
and this is the testimony, that God gave continuous life to us, and this life is in His Son;
and this is the promise that He promised us—the continuous life.
but because of this I found kindness, that Jesus Christ might first show forth all long-suffering in me, for a pattern of those about to believe on Him to continuous life.
A certeza para quem crê
Quem está em Cristo tem a certeza de que passou da morte para a vida. Nada pode arrebatar o crente da mão de Deus.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is hearing My word, and is believing Him who sent Me, has continuous life, and he does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Truly, truly, I say to you, [that] there comes an hour, and it now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard will live;
he who is believing in the Son has continuous life; and he who is not believing the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
he who is believing in the Son has continuous life; and he who is not believing the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that all that He has given to Me, I may lose none of it, but may raise it up in the last day; and this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who is beholding the Son, and is believing in Him, may have continuous life, and I will raise him up in the last day."
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me has continuous life;
according as I said to you: My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me, and I give continuous life to them, and they will not perish—throughout the age, and no one will snatch them out of My hand;
and I give continuous life to them, and they will not perish—throughout the age, and no one will snatch them out of My hand; My Father, who has given to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch out of the hand of My Father; I and the Father are one."
and this is the testimony, that God gave continuous life to us, and this life is in His Son; he who is having the Son has life; he who is not having the Son of God does not have life. I wrote these things to you who are believing in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have continuous life, and that you may believe in the Name of the Son of God.
I wrote these things to you who are believing in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have continuous life, and that you may believe in the Name of the Son of God.
O caminho para a eternidade

Simon Peter, therefore, answered Him, "Lord, to whom will we go? You have sayings of continuous life;
Go in through the narrow gate, because wide [is] the gate and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it; how narrow [is] the gate and compressed the way that is leading to life, and few are those finding it!
Go in through the narrow gate, because wide [is] the gate and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it; how narrow [is] the gate and compressed the way that is leading to life, and few are those finding it!
He who found his life will lose it, and he who lost his life for My sake will find it.
And these will go away into continuous punishment, but the righteous into continuous life."
And Jesus answering said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My sake, and for the good news’, who may not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming, continuous life;
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, trying Him, and saying, "Teacher, what having done, will I inherit continuous life?" And He said to him, "In the Law what has been written? How do you read [it]?" And he answering said, "You will love the LORD your God out of all your heart, and out of all your soul, and out of all your strength, and out of all your understanding, and your neighbor as yourself." And He said to him, "You answered correctly; do this, and you will live."
Be striving the good strife of the faith; be laying hold on the continuous life to which you also were called, and did profess the right profession before many witnesses.

Perseverança e glória futura
A vida eterna exige perseverança. Os sofrimentos presentes não se comparam com a glória que será revelada. Deus nos guardará até o fim.

For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory about to be revealed in us;
for the momentary light matter of our tribulation works out for us more and more an exceedingly continuous weight of glory—
we [are] not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen [are] temporary, but the things not seen [are] continuous.
Do not be led astray: God is not mocked; for what a man may sow—that he will also reap, because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh will reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit will reap continuous life;
because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh will reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit will reap continuous life;
from where also He is able to save to the very end, those coming through Him to God—ever living to make intercession for them.
And the God of all grace, who called you to His perpetual glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you];
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [resulting] in continuous life;
A eternidade com Deus
A Bíblia descreve a plenitude da vida eterna: sem dor, sem lágrimas, em perfeita comunhão com Deus para sempre.
and I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them [as] their God, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be anymore pain, because the first things passed away."
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and end, says the LORD, who is, and who was, and who is coming—the Almighty."
And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground awake, some to continuous life, and some to reproaches—to continuous abhorrence. And those teaching shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars for all time and forever."
For YHWH is loving judgment, || And He does not forsake His saintly ones, || They have been kept for all time, || And the seed of the wicked is cut off.
Search me, O God, and know my heart, || Try me, and know my thoughts, And see if a grievous way be in me, || And lead me in a perpetual way!
For whoever is finding me, has found life, || And brings out goodwill from YHWH.
and the world is passing away, and the desire of it, but he who is doing the will of God, he remains—throughout the age.
