Amar o próximo é um dos mandamentos centrais do evangelho. A Bíblia nos ensina que nossos vizinhos são aqueles a quem devemos servir, apoiar e encorajar com amor genuíno.
O mandamento do amor ao próximo
Jesus resume a Lei no amor a Deus e ao próximo. Amar o vizinho como a si mesmo é cumprir toda a Lei.
21 ¦ And a second is like it 𝔐3 HF ¦ The second is this ECM NA SBL WHAnd a second like it is this: ‘Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."
For the entire law is fulfilled in this one commandment: "Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself."
For the commandments, "Yoʋ shall not commit adultery, Yoʋ shall not murder, Yoʋ shall not 15 ¦ steal, Yoʋ shall not give false testimony, 𝔐15 PCK TRsteal, Yoʋ shall not covet," and whatever other commandments there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself."
Love does no harm to its neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
"Therefore whatever you wish that others would do to you, do the same also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

O amor verdadeiro se mostra em ações concretas: hospitalidade, generosidade e cuidado com os necessitados ao nosso redor.
Sacrifices Pleasing to God
Continue in brotherly love. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by showing hospitality some have hosted angels without knowing it.
Pure and undefiled religion before God our Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
Above all, maintain a deep love for one another, because love will cover a multitude of sins.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, pt ¦ we 𝔐ptlet us do good to all, and especially to those of the household of faith.
Love One Another
For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Edificação e encorajamento mútuo
Somos chamados a encorajar uns aos outros, carregar os fardos alheios e buscar o bem do próximo acima do próprio interesse.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, even as you are doing.
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way fulfill the law of Christ.
Each of pt ¦ you 𝔐ptus should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
No one should seek his own good, but each person should seek the good of others.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Take the lead in honoring one another.
May the Lord cause you to increase and abound in your love for one another and for all, just as we abound in our love for you.
Humildade, perdão e convivência
O relacionamento com o próximo exige humildade, paciência e disposição para perdoar. Não devemos julgar, mas acolher com compaixão.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility regard others as more important than yourselves.
bearing with one another and forgiving one other if any one of you has a complaint against another; just as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive.
Do Not Cause Yoʋr Brother to Stumble
Therefore let us no longer judge one another. Instead, resolve not to put any stumbling block or snare before your brother.
The Righteous Judgment of God
Therefore yoʋ are without excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For on whatever grounds yoʋ judge another, yoʋ condemn yoʋrself, for yoʋ who judge do the same things.
Suffering for Righteousness' Sake
Finally, you must all be of one mind, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, and kind.
One person considers one day to be more important than another, while another person considers every day to be alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
