2 In my Father’s house there are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told *you. I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.

9 After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 As he went, they were gazing up into the sky, when behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. 11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why are you standing here *12 ¦ looking 𝔐10 SBL TH WHstaring into the sky? This Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

12 "Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to repay each person according to their works.

36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels of *heaven, but only *my Father. 37 *As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in *the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark. 39 They knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

32 "No one knows about that day *or hour, not even the angels in heaven or the Son, but only the Father.

1 Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers, you have no need for anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 When people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will certainly not escape.

42 Therefore keep watch, for you do not know *in what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this: If the master of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect him.

1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken from your understanding or alarmed by *any spirit or message or by any letter supposedly from us alleging that the day of *Christ has already come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any manner, for that day cannot come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of *sin is revealed, the son of destruction. 4 He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so that he sits *as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left behind, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

24 "But in those days, after that time of tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. 25 The stars *of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with *15 ¦ power and great glory 𝔐9great power and glory. 27 And he will send * NA SBL TH WHhis angels and gather together *his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the *holy angels with him, he will sit down on his throne of glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will set the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He will tread the winepress of the fury *C,K [67.3%] ¦ and 𝔐A TR [23.8%]of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 On his garment and on his thigh a name is written: King of kings and Lord of lords.

26 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness, but is patient toward *us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief *in the night. On that day the heavens will pass away with a roar, the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will * SBL TH WH 3.1% ¦ not be found ECM NA28 0%be burned up.

11 *Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God. On that day the heavens will be set on fire and destroyed, and the elements will melt in the intense heat. 13 But, according to his promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

27 And just as it is appointed for men to die once and then face judgment, 28 so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.
