17 Então, lhes disse: Estais vendo a miséria em que estamos, Jerusalém assolada, e as suas portas, queimadas; vinde, pois, reedifiquemos os muros de Jerusalém e deixemos de ser opróbrio. 18 E lhes declarei como a boa mão do meu Deus estivera comigo e também as palavras que o rei me falara. Então, disseram: Disponhamo-nos e edifiquemos. E fortaleceram as mãos para a boa obra.

17 Then said I to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good on me; as also the king' words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
