1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on the brink of the river on this side, and the other on the brink of the river on that side. 6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. 8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are wise shall understand. 11 And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be; for thou shalt rest, and shalt stand in thy lot, at the end of the days.

Vers. 9. însă, Daniele, ține ascunse*Apoc. 10:4;22:10. aceste cuvinte și pecetluiește cartea până la vremea sfârșitului*Cap. 10:1. Vers. 9.. Atunci, mulți o vor citi și cunoștința va crește." 5 Și eu, Daniel, m-am uitat și iată că alți doi oameni stăteau în picioare, unul dincoace de râu și altul dincolo de malul râului*Cap. 10:4.. 6 Unul din ei a zis omului*Cap. 10:5. aceluia îmbrăcat în haine de in, care stătea deasupra apelor râului: „Cât*Cap. 8:13. va mai fi până la sfârșitul acestor minuni?" 7 Și am auzit pe omul acela îmbrăcat în haine de in, care stătea deasupra apelor râului; el și-a ridicat spre ceruri mâna dreaptă*Deut. 32:40.Apoc. 10:5,6. și mâna stângă și a jurat pe Cel ce trăiește veșnic*Cap. 4:34. că vor mai fi*Cap. 7:25;11:13.Apoc. 12:14. o vreme, două vremuri și o jumătate de vreme și că toate aceste lucruri se vor sfârși când puterea*Luca 21:24.Apoc. 10:7. poporului sfânt*Cap. 8:24. va fi zdrobită de tot. 8 Eu am auzit, dar n-am înțeles și am zis: „Domnul meu, care va fi sfârșitul acestor lucruri?" 9 El a răspuns: „Du-te, Daniele! Căci cuvintele acestea vor fi ascunse și pecetluite până*Vers. 4. la vremea sfârșitului. 10 Mulți*Cap. 11:35.Zah. 13:9. vor fi curățiți, albiți și lămuriți; cei răi vor face răul*Osea 14:9.Apoc. 9:20;22:11. și niciunul din cei răi nu va înțelege, dar cei pricepuți*Cap. 11:33,35.Ioan 7:17;8:47;18:37. vor înțelege. 11 De la vremea când*Cap. 8:11;11:31. va înceta jertfa necurmată și de când se va așeza urâciunea pustiitorului, vor mai fi o mie două sute nouăzeci de zile. 12 Ferice de cine va aștepta și va ajunge până la o mie trei sute treizeci și cinci de zile! 13 Iar tu du-te*Vers. 9. până va veni sfârșitul; tu te vei odihni*Is. 57:2.Apoc. 14:13. și te vei scula iarăși*Ps. 1:5. odată în partea ta de moștenire, la sfârșitul zilelor."
