1 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal: 4 and I will turn thee about, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords: 5 Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer, and all his hordes; the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his hordes; even many peoples with thee.

7 Be thou prepared, yea, prepare thyself, thou, and all thy companies that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste; but it is brought forth out of the peoples, and they shall dwell securely, all of them. 9 And thou shalt ascend, thou shalt come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.

10 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: It shall come to pass in that day, that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt devise an evil device: 11 and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates; 12 to take the spoil and to take the prey; to turn thy hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and against the people that are gathered out of the nations, that have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the middle of the earth. 13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take the spoil? hast thou assembled thy company to take the prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil?

14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwelleth securely, shalt thou not know it? 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the uttermost parts of the north, thou, and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company and a mighty army; 16 and thou shalt come up against my people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land: it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring thee against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

17 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou he of whom I spake in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, that prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring thee against them? 18 And it shall come to pass in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, that my wrath shall come up into my nostrils. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20 so that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. 21 And I will call for a sword against him unto all my mountains, saith the Lord Jehovah: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. 22 And with pestilence and with blood will I enter into judgment with him; and I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 And I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

1 Cuvântul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel: 2 „Fiul*Cap. 39:1. omului, întoarce-te*Cap. 35:2,3. cu fața spre Gog*Apoc. 20:8., din țara lui Magog, spre domnul Roșului, Meșecului*Cap. 32:26. și Tubalului, și prorocește împotriva lui! 3 Și spune: ‘Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Iată, am necaz pe tine, Gog, domnul Roșului, Meșecului și Tubalului! 4 Te voi*2 Împ. 19:28. Cap. 29:4; 39:2. târî și-ți voi pune un cârlig în fălci; te voi scoate, pe tine și toată oastea ta, cai și călăreți, toți*Cap. 23:12. îmbrăcați în chip strălucit, ceată mare de popor, care poartă scut și pavăză și care toți mânuiesc sabia; 5 împreună cu ei voi scoate pe cei din Persia, Etiopia și Put, toți cu scut și coif, 6 Gomerul*Gen. 10:2. cu toate oștile lui, țara Togarmei*Cap. 27:14., din fundul miazănopții, cu toate oștile sale, popoare multe împreună cu tine! 7 Pregătește-te*Is. 8:9,10.Ier. 46:3,4,14;51:12. dar, fii gata, tu și toată mulțimea adunată în jurul tău! Fii căpetenia lor! 8 După multe*Gen. 49:1.Deut. 4:30. Vers. 16. zile, vei fi*Is. 29:6. în fruntea lor; în vremea de apoi, vei merge împotriva țării, ai cărei locuitori, scăpați de sabie, vor fi strânși*Vers. 12. Cap. 34:13. dintre mai multe popoare pe munții*Cap. 36:1,4,8. lui Israel, care multă vreme fuseseră pustii, dar, fiind scoși din mijlocul popoarelor, vor fi liniștiți în*Ier. 23:6. Cap. 28:26; 34:25,28. Vers. 11. locuințele lor. 9 Iar tu te vei sui, vei înainta ca o furtună*Is. 28:2., vei fi ca un nor*Ier. 4:13. Vers. 16. negru care va acoperi țara, tu cu toate oștile tale și multe popoare cu tine.» 10 Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «În ziua aceea, multe gânduri îți vor veni în minte și vei urzi planuri rele. 11 Vei zice: ‹Mă voi sui împotriva țării acesteia deschise, voi năvăli*Ier. 49:31. peste oamenii aceștia liniștiți, care stau*Vers. 8. fără griji în locuințele lor, toți în locuințe fără ziduri și neavând nici zăvoare, nici porți! 12 Mă voi duce să iau pradă și să mă dedau la jaf, să pun mâna pe aceste dărâmături*Cap. 36:34,35. locuite din nou, pe poporul*Vers. 8. acesta strâns din mijlocul neamurilor, care are turme și moșii și locuiește în mijlocul pământului.› 13 Seba*Cap. 27:22,23. și Dedan*Cap. 27:15,20., negustorii din Tars*Cap. 27:12. și toți puii lor*Cap. 19:3,5. de lei îți vor zice: ‹Vii să iei pradă? Pentru jaf ți-ai adunat oare mulțimea ta, ca să iei argint și aur, ca să iei turme și avuții și să faci o pradă mare?›»’ 14 De aceea, prorocește, fiul omului, și spune lui Gog: ‘Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Da, în ziua*Is. 4:1. când poporul Meu Israel va trăi*Vers. 8. în liniște, vei porni din țara ta 15 și vei veni*Cap. 39:2. din fundul miazănopții, tu*Vers. 6. și multe popoare cu tine, toți călări pe cai, o mare mulțime și o puternică oștire! 16 Vei*Vers. 9. înainta împotriva poporului Meu Israel ca un nor care va acoperi țara. În zilele*Vers. 8. de apoi, te voi aduce împotriva țării Mele, ca să Mă cunoască*Exod 14:4. Cap. 36:23;39:21. neamurile când voi fi sfințit în tine sub ochii lor, Gog!» 17 Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Nu ești tu acela despre care am vorbit odinioară, prin robii Mei, prorocii lui Israel, care au prorocit atunci ani de zile că te voi aduce împotriva lor? 18 În ziua aceea însă, în ziua când va porni Gog împotriva pământului lui Israel», zice Domnul Dumnezeu, «Mi se va sui în nări mânia aprinsă. 19 O spun*Cap. 36:5,6;39:25. în gelozia și în focul mâniei*Ps. 89:46. Mele: ‹În ziua aceea*Hag. 2:6,7.Apoc. 16:18., va fi un mare cutremur în țara lui Israel. 20 Peștii*Osea 4:3. mării și păsările cerului vor tremura de Mine și fiarele câmpului și toate târâtoarele care se târăsc pe pământ și toți oamenii care sunt pe fața pământului; munții*Ier. 4:24.Naum 1:5,6. se vor răsturna, pereții stâncilor se vor prăbuși și toate zidurile vor cădea la pământ.› 21 Atunci voi chema*Ps. 105:16. groaza*Cap. 14:17. împotriva lui pe toți munții Mei», zice Domnul Dumnezeu; «sabia*Jud. 7:22.1 Sam. 14:20.2 Cron. 20:23. fiecăruia se va întoarce împotriva fratelui său. 22 Îl voi judeca*Is. 66:16.Ier. 25:31. prin ciumă*Cap. 5:17. și sânge, printr-o ploaie*Ps. 11:6.Is. 29:6;30:30. năprasnică și prin pietre de grindină*Cap. 13:11.Apoc. 16:21.; voi ploua foc și pucioasă peste el, peste oștile lui și peste popoarele cele multe care vor fi cu el. 23 Îmi voi arăta astfel mărimea și sfințenia*Cap. 36:23., Mă voi face cunoscut*Ps. 9:16. Cap. 37:28. Vers. 16. Cap. 39:7. înaintea mulțimii neamurilor și vor ști că Eu sunt Domnul.»’
